It's a Come as You Are Party
I remember “back in the day” when we had “Come as you are” parties. The party planner called and invited friends who HAD to come right then, in whatever they had on at the time being. It was hilarious – PJ’s, work-out or dress-to-the-nines clothes, evening wear, swimming suit and jeans and a T–shirt or whatever. But, in a more spiritual context, many of us carry a misconception that we need to…

The Pharisees and Sadducees Demand Signs
1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.
5 And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.
6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.
21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. — Matthew 16 | King James Version (KJV) The King James Version Bible is in the public domain Cross References: Job 34:11; Psalm 42:2; Psalm 49:8; Psalm 129:2; Proverbs 26:5; isaiah 22:22; Isaiah 57:3; Jeremiah 1:1; Matthew 1:16; Matthew 3:7; Matthew 4:10; Matthew 5:20; Matthew 6:30; Matthew 8:20; Matthew 10:38-39; Matthew 12:40; Matthew 14:17; Matthew 14:20; Matthew 21:25; Mark 8:15; Luke 9:18; Luke 12:54; Luke 12:56; John 1:42; John 12;25; Revelation 3:7

BIBLE STUDY: #1
─ ✩ “In the following study, we will reflect on seeking God's wisdom, protection, peace, and justice. Most importantly, we will learn to trust in God's hands, knowing that He always knows what is best for us. In the end, His plans are greater than ours!”
Books used on the following study: Psalms
Tumblr media
STRENGTH AND OBEDIENCE
Psalm 19:11 "Therefore, by them, Your servant is warned; In keeping them there is great reward." By following God's commands, we are warned, and there is great reward in obeying Him.
Psalm 19:13 "Moreover, keep Your servant from willful sins; do not let them rule over me. Then I will be innocent and cleansed from blatant rebellion." This verse highlights the importance of humility and obedience to God’s commandments and warns against the arrogance and self-righteousness that can lead to sin.
1. Why is self-righteousness wrong? The concept of self-righteousness implies a belief that one's salvation is based on their own actions or works, rather than the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for our sins. We don't deserve Heaven on our own merits, but it's only through the love and grace of God, through our faith and acceptance of Jesus' sacrifice, that we can be made righteous.
2.  In modern times, how can we replace the offerings made back then? While modern times may not include traditional burnt offerings like in the Old Testament, we can still offer our sacrifices to God through our actions and our daily lives. This could mean giving up harmful habits and behaviors, volunteering our time and resources to help others, or even simply doing our best to obey God's commandments in everyday situations. Let us also make time daily to strengthen our relationship with God.
TRUST AND LOVE
Psalm 21:2  "You have given him his heart's desire and have not denied the request of his lips." This verse speaks about trust and gratitude to God, expressing the speaker's faith in God's love and sovereignty.
Psalm 21:7 "For the King relies on the Lord; through the faithful love of the Most High he is not shaken." The king encounters difficulties and threats, the love and support of God will ensure that he remains strong and protected, and he will never be broken or overcome by misfortune.
Psalm 46:4-5  "There is a river its steams delight the day of God, the holy dwelling the place of the *Most High. God is within her; she will not be toppled. God will help her when the morning dawns." These verses convey the assurance of God's presence, protection, and timely help for His people, offering hope and security amidst any adversity.
Psalm 57:3 "He reaches down from heaven and saves me, challenging the one who tramples me. God sends His faithful love and truth." This phrase portrays a vivid image of God actively intervening in our life. It emphasizes God’s willingness to descend from His heavenly throne to rescue those in distress.
Psalm 118:18 "The Lord disciplined me severely, but He did not hand me over to death." God discipline us not to ultimately punish us but to shape us into better people. We must recognized that the severity of the discipline is a reflection of God's concern for our growth and righteousness. Despite the severity of the discipline, we are thankful that God has not allowed us to face ultimate destruction or death.
GOD'S PROTECTION
Psalm 23:4 "Even if I go to the darkest valley, I fear no danger, For you are with me; You anoint on my head with oil; my cup overflows."  This is a declaration of trust and faith in God, emphasizing that even in darkness, we are comforted by the presence of God, who promises to protect and guide us.
Psalm 34:7 "The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who *fear Him, and rescues them."  This verse highlights the protective presence of God and His angels, specifically for those who fear and worship Him.
Psalm 27:2"When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh, my foes and enemies stumbled and fell." The expression “to devour my flesh” uses vivid imagery to describe the intensity of our enemie's intentions—it's as if they are determined to utterly destroy us. But in the end, God caused our enemies to falter and be defeated.
THE WICKED AND JUSTICE
Psalm 73:6 "Therefore, pride is their necklace and violence covers them like a garment." This phrase implies that the wicked wear their pride openly and with arrogance as if it were an accessory like a necklace. Just as clothing envelops a person, violence is said to cover the wicked. This means that their lives are characterized by cruelty and aggression. Violence defines their actions, and they engage in harmful and unjust lifestyles.
Psalm 73:7 "Their eyes bulge out from fatness; the imaginations of their hearts run wild." Fatness in the Bible often symbolizes wealth and abundance. The imagery of eyes bulging out suggests that the wicked are so well-fed and prosperous that their wealth is excessive. And untimely the desires and thoughts of their hearts are uncontrolled, ambitious, and often wicked.
Psalm 73:8 "They mock, and they speak maliciously; they arrogantly threaten oppression." They are known for their mockery and malicious speech, meaning they ridicule others and speak in harmful or spiteful ways. The wicked not only speak maliciously, but they also use their power or influence to threaten and oppress others.
Psalm 73:16 "When I tried to understand all this, it seemed hopeless until I entered God’s sanctuary. Then I understood their destiny." The psalmist on this, Asaph, is struggling to make sense of why the wicked seem to prosper endlessly while the righteous suffer. He observed the arrogance and success of the wicked, and it deeply troubled him, making him confused and frustrated. But when Asaph enters the sanctuary, he gains a spiritual perspective, a new perspective. Asaph gains clarity about the ultimate fate of the wicked. While they may seem to prosper, their success will come to an end. Their end will be one of judgment and destruction.

─ ✩ “This is all for today! Thanks for joining me in this Bible study, remember to ask for guidance to the Lord before reading. And reflect his word in our daily lives. Remember God love us, we aren’t too far from him. See you all next study!”

Every September, my friend Marc Hong, a professor at Louisville Seminary, hosts Psalmtember. He invites you to join in, too!
Think "Inktober," but in September and with a spiritual focus — and with any art form welcome, from drawing to poetry to photography and beyond. There's also no pressure to create something for every day — do as many or as few as you like.
Here's Marc's description of this artistic event:
Each year, I love to spend a month making art inspired by the Psalms. There are 30 days in September, meaning that I can evenly divide up the 150 Psalms into 5 sets of 30. So, if I do this for 5 years, I will have made art with all of the Psalms. Join me! The prompt list is in the image [as well as below the readmore]. But other words may stand out to you! Or you may try to make art that represents the wholeness of the Psalm. I encourage you to read the text of the whole Psalm each day, consider what emotions it stirs up in you, choose a medium that speaks to you, and make some art! Folks have painted, used ink, drawn with colored pencils, taken photographs, written haikus, and much more. Choose what stirs delight in you!
Tag your post with #psalmtember2023 so we can celebrate the Psalms through art together!
Marc and many others post on Facebook, but I'll be paying attention to the tag here on tumblr. If you create anything you'd like me to share on Facebook on your behalf, DM me.

1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hosea 10:12 Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until He comes and showers His righteousness on you.
2 Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
John 10:29-30 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.
Romans 5:3-5 …we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts…
May you honor God, Who holds in His hand your life and all your ways, never mistaking the creation for the Creator, but always giving Him the glory and the praise which is due Him. Daniel 5
May you ever be able to reject man's gifts and allow material rewards to go to someone else, that your mind would not be turned aside from God and your judgment and decisions would remain pure and uncorrupted, aligned with the precepts of the Lord. Daniel 5
May you humble yourself before the Lord, honoring Him Who holds in His hand your life and all your ways, even as you have learned of Him and have been taught by others, seeing His hand in their lives, lest the Lord do so, and more, to you. Daniel 5
May you openly acknowledge the Sovereign Lord Who bought you, as you follow the truth you have learned from the first, that He may bless you richly, as you bring honor and praise to His Name and Word, giving freely even as you have received, according to the eternal and faithful promises of God. 2 Peter 2
May you realize and understand that God knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment, especially for those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority. 2 Peter 2
May you remain humble and modest, cautious in your speech, alert to the Spirit of the Lord, and wise in the holy fear and respectful awe of the Lord, restraining yourself from matters you do not understand, that you may walk in the ways of the Lord, wherein is found life eternal. 2 Peter 2
May you remain on the straight and narrow way of the Lord, rejecting the wages of wickedness, but doing good and showing mercy, strengthening the weak and building up the faith of those who are double-minded, grounding them firmly in the teaching of the truth of God's word, demonstrating the servanthood of Christ's leadership, and the freedom contained therein. 2 Peter 2
Do not be impatient, My child, but wait upon Me by serving your brethren. I have appointed the times for My promises to be fulfilled, and I will not forget, nor will I miss the mark. I will sustain you with the strength and endurance you need as you seek Me; though the wait causes you distress, this is how you can release your childish demands and immature expectations to Me and receive My grace of patience and mature acceptance. My love for you never wavers, My precious one, for I hold you in My heart, and have planned out blessings in abundance for you along the way. Follow Me in obedience, stilling your heart in trust, thanking Me in faith, for the eye of man has not seen nor the ear of man heard the half of what I have prepared for you. Those who walk in My Spirit will glimpse the glory and taste the joy of fellowship as they serve others in My name.
May you love the law of God, but hate the thoughts of the double-minded people who are undecided in their religion. Psalm 119
May you put your hope in God's word, making Him your refuge and shield as you hide yourself in Him. Psalm 119
May you keep hearing, receiving, loving and obeying the commands of God, that evil-doers will be driven away, departing from you. Psalm 119
May you hope in God's promise to sustain your life and not let you be a shame or a disappointment. Psalm 119
May you always have regard for God's statutes which continually uphold you and deliver you to safety. Psalm 119
May you truly love the testimonies and statutes of the Lord, for He rejects and spurns all who stray from His decrees in vain deceitfulness, putting away all the wicked of the earth like dross, which are discarded for there is no true metal in them. Psalm 119
May your body tremble in reverential fear and worshipful awe of the Lord, as you contemplate the dreadful and fearful judgments of the Lord which are destined for the wicked, unless they repent. Psalm 119
May you do what is righteous & just, so that the Lord will not leave you to those who would oppress you, for with the Lord as surety for your well-being, how can the insolent and arrogant even hope to do violence to you? Psalm 119
May your eyes long for the salvation of God and for the fulfillment of His righteous promise as He deals with you according to His mercy and loving-kindness, teaching you His statutes and decrees. Psalm 119
May you submit to the Lord as His servant, that by His discernment and comprehension, you may understand and be familiar with the character of His testimonies. Psalm 119
May you love the commandments of the Lord more than resplendent gold, yes, more than perfectly refined gold, and may you consider all the precepts of God to be right, therefore, because you hate every false way which breaks His laws, you realize that it is time for Him to act. Psalm 119

Daily Devotionals for November 12, 2024
Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living
Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 28:2 (KJV): 2 For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged. Proverbs 28:2 (AMP): 2 When a land transgresses, it has many rulers, but when the ruler is a man of discernment, understanding, and knowledge, its stability will long continue.
Thought for the Day
Wickedness produces many problems in a society; including rivalry amongst leaders. However, when a wise man rules a nation, it will produce stability. Dissatisfied people expect their leaders to create change, but all needed change begins with individuals. Every person is responsible for contributing to the betterment of our world. Evil people desire leaders who condone their wickedness. Righteous people desire leaders who control society's evil tendencies by making and enforcing righteous laws. Because the founding fathers of the United States were Christian, our laws were traditionally based on the Bible; and this influence has blessed our national life. We have turned away from this godly foundation, however, and God has begun to lift His blessings and protection from our nation. If we do not repent, we could fall as ancient Judah did:
"For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory. The show of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves. Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him. As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths" (Isaiah 3:8-12).
Sin, especially the sin of Sodom, brought Judah under a curse. For centuries, God had warned them that judgment would come if they did not repent. In Isaiah's time, the citizens of Judah, like those of Sodom, had grown brazenly open about their sin. About 150 to 200 years after Isaiah prophesied it, Israel reaped a terrible judgment: Jerusalem was destroyed and survivors taken into captivity in Babylon. God rewarded the wicked with the fruit of their sin, while rewarding the righteous with protection amidst national catastrophe. Judah endured many evils as warnings before reaping God's terrible judgment. We notice some of them in verse 12: it was unrighteous leaders who were causing the people to err from the paths of righteousness. Isaiah 3:4-5 lists others: wicked or immature rulers, young people dishonoring their elders, and the foolish behaving arrogantly toward the honorable. Similar evils, along with natural catastrophes, are seen across the world today, and are indications of judgment. Judgment can be averted if our nations will seek Him and forsake their sins. "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD" (Psalm 33:12a).
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, please give us godly leadership in our nation at all levels. Lord, we ask You to forgive us for our national sins of pride, adultery, lust, materialism, addiction, pornography, murder, idolatry and the many other sins that have grieved Your heart. Forgive me on a personal level for my sins. Lord, cleanse our hearts and our nation, so that we might be blessed and live godly lives. May we be a people who live and share the truths of the Bible, so that Your kingdom will come on this earth. I pray in the name of Jesus. Monitoring & Developing
MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK
=========================
+ Psalm 102:17 He will hear his forsaken people and listen to their prayer.
=========================
VERSE OF THE DAY
========================
+ Lamentations 3:55-57  I called on your name, Lord, from the depths of the pit.
56 You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears to my cry for relief.”57 You came near when I called you, and you said, “Do not fear.”
 =========================
SUBJECT: Monitoring & Developing
=========================
** SAY THIS BEFORE YOU READ; HERE’S SOME CHRISTIAN TRUTHS **
I AM DEVELOPING
I AM SURRENDERING
I AM VICTORIOUS
I AM AT PEACE
********************************
THOUGHTS:
=======================
I have been through a lot, which we all have been through, and in some situations, it feels like we have been in the depths of the pit or the most bottomless hole, and that hole can make us feel that we are alone. No one is there, and sometimes, in that pit or deep within that problem, no one understands. It feels like everyone has closed their ears to you and your situation, and sometimes, it feels like God doesn’t even hear me.  Does he even see what I'm going through, and does he see how I am treated? These are our thoughts.
The more we have those thoughts, the more the enemy feeds into our emotions. We allow it because we don’t understand what's happening, and sometimes this is a test or season, or maybe a misstep on our end , and we think why this is happening, and the more and more we try to pray, the further we feel right, because when we come to him we don’t turn from our sins , we don’t dwell , we just demands answers and never wait for him to speak . We have stop monitoring and let him develop us.
But this lamentation tells us that no matter how deep Jeremiah felt in his pit, he knew God had heard him. He knows God didn’t close his ears and eyes to him, and he knew that God would draw near, and say don’t fear, and sometimes that’s all we need is for God to say I got you, it's okay, I'm right here, but the more and more we yell and complain we don’t give him the opportunity, do you allow him to speak to you ???
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he will be with me.
Do you allow him to heal your wounds and guide your steps? Do you give him that, or do we sit and fuss and complain about what is happening even though it could be our fault I have done that if I'm being transparent, and sometimes it feels like there is no way God sees me; it no way he feels my pain it's no way because if he sees it, I know he’ll have to help right ??  These are our thoughts, but sometimes we go through them because he's trying to show us that the pain we are dealing with, the frustrations we are dealing with, is because we didn’t hear him when he spoke.
John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life; they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
I have been there. I have wanted something so badly that I ignored him, saying no lui, not this; I have ignored him because I needed it so badly, and he would say no lui, not this, and because of me denying him access to my ears I had to suffer the consequences, in our seasons we must listen for him to speak, we must give to him access to all of ourselves physically mentally, emotionally in this situation, and that situation and sometimes we pick and choose what we want him to touch and what we want him to heal when we must allow him to heal every part of us.
Psalm 25:4-5 Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; I wait all day long.
When we let him heal just pieces of us, we will never feel right; we will never feel what we should and hear what we should because we allowed him to have limited access to us; we have to allow him in; we have to let go of monitoring and letting him develop us, we have to let go of sections and give him whole pieces because the more we try to give him of ourselves the more we will feel complete and that’s why a lot of us still feel broken because we give him what we want Him to heal instead of allowing him to heal what's broken at his pace, God is so mighty, he's so strong, and he sees all of us even the parts we try to hide, he sees and hear us.
***Today, we learned that even if we feel in a pit, we AREN’T alone. In that pit, we will find Jesus because he’ll meet us where we are, and a lot of times, we think God wants us at a certain level or certain skill set to develop a relationship with him, and He don’t ,all he wants to do is heal us and protect us. Sometimes, it’s hard to think that he does care where we are in life, Jesus wants to pick up the broken pieces, and He does care but we assume it’s his fault and it isn’t ; he just wants to give us something beautiful which is healing .
If we are monitoring everything he does and we are letting in what we think he should and what he shouldn’t develop , then we won’t develop, and nothing won’t change, but as we let go and we let him in , whatever pain we are feeling he’s there. Sometimes, we forget how sovereign the lord is and how all-knowing he is, and we just think he can’t know about us, but he does. But we have to let go of the pain and draw close to him, don’t be afraid; he says that all through his word don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid, but we have to let go so he can pull us out of the pit he doesn’t close his ear to our cry, he doesn’t ignore us when we are in agony, he holds us close, but what happens is we have to start letting down our guard and staying in the secret place. Allow him to do that today; allow him to be your secret place because if we have him as our secret place, we don’t need the walls, just Him. ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

PRAYER
========================
Heaven, Father, we come to you today with an open heart, asking you to forgive us and keep us safe and sound; lord, we need you in every way, and we ask you to be with us and to help us through it all. Lord, we place it at your feet and ask you to help us surrender to you in every way possible. Lord, we ask you for eyes to see and ears to hear ; if we are in a pit right now, we ask you to give us the strength to give you our hand to pull us out of it. Lord, we give you everything: praise, glory, and honor in Jesus' name, amen.

A CONTRITE HEART THAT TREMBLES AT HIS WORD
20 I have found my servant David. I have anointed him with my holy oil. 21 I will STEADY him with my hand; with my powerful arm I will make him strong. 22 His ENEMIES WILL NOT DEFEAT HIM, nor will the wicked overpower him. 23 I will BEAT DOWN his adversaries before him and destroy those who hate him. 28 I will LOVE him and be kind to him forever; MY COVENANT WITH HIM WILL NEVER END." Psalm 89:28 (NLT)
God establishes covenant with His beloved.
The text of this teaching talked about the never ending covenant which God had with David and his descendants.
God promises to love him and be kind to him forever. God's love and kindness are never ending.
You also can do what would register you in the Heart of God forever. You can do what others have not done that would trigger His love for you.
God has established different covenants with different people in the past and in the contemporary time.
There are conditions for cutting or establishing a covenant with God.
Someone who has acknowledged Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour would have to pay attention to some of the principles found in the Bible, for God to be moved and established a covenant with him or her. (i) A Believer whom God would potentially establish a covenant with, should be someone who walks in total Obedience to God's instructions. (ii) The submission of such must be uncompromising. (iii) Such should be able to live sacrificially. He or she should be one who is willing to make sacrifices in doing God's Will. (iv) Giving should be part of the person's life. Giving to God; His work, servants, the Needy, and whichever way he or she is prompted or stirred to do it. (v) Such would have to love God with all his or her Heart, soul or mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). The love for God and His Kingdom should take precedence in the heart of such a person (1 King 3:3,4). This love for God and His Kingdom would enable the person to give all; his or her life, and whatever they have (2 Corinthians 8:1-5). (vi) Humility would be the hallmark, a distinctive feature, of the person. God will not establish a covenant with a proud person (James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5). (vii) The person would have to be a person who understands the importance of Praise (Hebrews 13:15). Ascribing the glory of his or her success to God. If God knew you would steal, or rob Him of His Glory, He would not allow your lifting. His Glory would He not share with anyone (Isaiah 42:8).
To small or large extent, whatever God will do in someone's life, premises on the condition or the state of the person's Heart towards Him and His Kingdom.
What is going on in your heart determines His works and doings in the affairs of your life.
Another important thing that cannot be put aside is, what you do about His Word. a. Are you indifferent to His Word? (Zechariah 7:13). b. If you realized that you have missed it, how do you feel about it in your Heart—Are you remorseful? (2 Samuel 12:13; 24:10). c. Do you tremble at His Word or despise it? (Psalm 34:18; Isaiah 57:15). d. Do you trivialize His commands or instructions? (Proverbs 1:28,29). e. Do you reverence Him wholeheartedly? (Deuteronomy 10:12; 30:6; Psalm 119:11).
"MY hands have made both heaven and EARTH; THEY and everything in them are MINE. I, THE LORD, HAVE SPOKEN! “I WILL BLESS THOSE WHO HAVE HUMBLE AND CONTRITE HEARTS, WHO TREMBLE AT MY WORD." Isaiah 66:2 (NLT)
"THE LORD IS NEAR to those who HAVE A BROKEN HEART, And SAVES SUCH AS HAVE A CONTRITE SPIRIT." Psalm 34:18 (NKJV)
"THE SACRIFICES of God are A BROKEN SPIRIT, A BROKEN and A CONTRITE [repentant] HEART— These, O God, YOU WILL NOT DESPISE." Psalm 51:17 (NKJV)
God shows mercy to those who had a contrite Heart, who tremble at His Word: 15 FOR He says to Moses, “I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOMEVER I WILL HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOMEVER I WILL HAVE COMPASSION.” 16 SO then IT IS NOT of him who WILLS, NOR of him who RUNS, BUT of God who SHOWS MERCY" (Romans 9:15,16 NKJV).
Someone who is heady, stubborn, might not easily receive His mercy.
Trembling at God's Word makes you a candidate for His mercy and Blessings.
God detests pride, and whoever is proud cannot receive anything from Him.
God, rather, resists or stands on the way of the proud: "AND HE GIVES GRACE GENEROUSLY. As the Scriptures SAY, “GOD OPPOSES THE PROUD BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE"" (James 4:6 NLT). READ: 1 Peter 5:5 a. Pride is when you want to get or have something done in your own way, rather than God's Way. When you are not willing to submit your Will to embrace God's Will. b. Pride is the inability to relegate the self and enthrone God. When you do not give to God, His rightful place in your life. c. Pride is when you are self-centered and strong-willed. When your life is centered on the self, and you are unable to endure because of other people, God, and His Kingdom. d. When nobody matters to you, but only you. The talking about the self, calling attention to the self, wanting to dominate every discussion. e. When you believe that you are always Right, whilst others are wrong. That your opinions are the best and should be considered and accepted.
Humble yourself that you might be exalted: HUMBLE YOURSELVES IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, AND HE WILL LIFT YOU UP" (James 4:10 NKJV).
You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Whatever is contrary to your health is rebuked in Jesus' name.
What God has not planted in your life, working against your health, is rooted up in Jesus' name. Peace!

Psalms chapter 57
1 (To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave.) Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.
2 I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.
3 He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
4 My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.
7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
8 Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
9 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.
10 For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin. Psalm 38:3 Who can describe the convulsions that disturb the rest of the sinning soul? "There is no peace, saith my God to the wicked" (Isaiah 57:21). The cries of condemned sinners evidence the disturbing quality inherent in sins of their own choosing: "There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin" (Psalm 38:3). "My punishment is greater than I can bear" (Genesis 4:13). Perhaps the prime example, though, is Judas. When he was not able to stand up under his guilt he ran from it, and hanged himself, throwing himself into hell to erase the torment of his sin. Just as sin disturbs the inward peace of a soul, it also interrupts outward peace in the world. What else but sin has caused such confusion? "From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?" (James 4:1). Delilah betrayed her own husband into the enemies' hands. And Absalom tried to take the life of his dear father. Sin is the subtle whisperer which separates friends and families and even the sweet communion of saints. Sin has such a kindle-fire nature that as deadly sparks fly not only from one neighbor's house to another but from nation to nation. All the water in the seas cannot quench the wars it ignites between kingdoms; instead, it makes men who live at one end of the world thirst for the blood and possessions of those who live at the other end. The earth has become an arena where there is little else but fighting and killing. Is this the guest you welcome within your heart? Sin has a damning property. If sin's damage could be confined to this world, it would be bad enough. Considering our short stay here, we might take a measure of comfort in the fact that it would soon be over. But to be bothered by it here and then damned to eternal torment in the next world–it is unbearable!
William Gurnall, The Christian in Complete Armour, 1655
